Drone Frame Design Optimization

The objective of this project was to design a reduced mass drone frame from an initial envelope that adhered to all specified design, material, and manufacturing requirements. This involved completing topology studies and parametric optimizations to reduce the mass by at least 35% while ensuring that the design retained its mechanical properties under the hover and tilt loading conditions. The final frame satisfied stress, displacement, symmetry, and manufacturability constraints, resulting in an functional, and durable design suitable for manufacturing.
